I am Pepy. I live in the Howgill fells, in an unspoilt and less visited valley sandwiched between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.
I started Backyard Blooms in 2018. I began with flower deliveries – bouquets, jam jars – gradually spreading my wings to occasions, and conceptual projects. I also run specialist workshops here in our barn.
I use only material grown here in my garden and foraged from a wide range of local sources. I am inspired by the imperfect wild flowers that grew around me when I was growing up in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland, and where we now live in Cumbria.
